Solomon Islands: Is Malaita moving towards a policy of sustainable harvesting of resources and conservation?
It has been reported today that the Premier of Malaita Province, Daniel Suidani, has said his MARA government is to encourage people to pursue sustainable harvesting of resources
He claimed the MARA government will not only encourage people to pursue sustainable harvesting of resources, but to plant more trees and concentrate on marine conservation, culture and traditions.
Premier Suidani said his policy approach is in line with encouraging the restoration of the province’s resources, heritage, and culture by protecting them.
