A 25 year wait ended with a new mini hospital

A new mini hospital called ‘Ravi Ni Laka’ was officially opened at Chichinge village in Malango ward, Central Guadalcanal, on Tuesday.

The hospital is funded under the Ministry of Provincial government’s ‘Provincial Capacity Development Fund’ (PCDF).

The new health facility will serve thousands of people from Tenaru up to Bemuta at Gold Ridge.

The people of Malango have been without a health facility for more than 25 years.

The opening of the new health facility reflects the support the national government and the Guadalcanal provincial government has for the health sector.

The name given to the new Mini Hospital ‘Ravi Ni Laka’ means ‘Shelter of Healing’ in the Malango dialect.

The Guadalcanal provincial government is congratulated on the opening of the much needed mini hospital and for the welfare and medical needs of the communities from Tenaru and Bemuta.
