Singapore firm engaged for Solomons Sustainable Transport Infrastructure Improvement Program.

Quoting the SIBC - 24 September 2019

“The Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID) has engaged a Singaporean-based firm to design and supervise the construction of selected roads and wharves in the country.

“ A statement from the Singapore-based firm known as SMEC, said their engagement is part of the Solomon Islands Sustainable Transport Infrastructure Improvement Program (STIIP). SMEC’s Project Manager, Graham Jones said his firm was awarded the work because of their innovative and competitive bid which reflected both the aspirations of the MID and the challenges faced by the Central Projects Implementation Unit (CPIU).”
