BRED Bank opens in Honiara

“Prime Minister Rick Hou on Saturday officially launched the operations of the country’s fourth commercial bank, BRED Bank.
“BRED Bank expanded its operations into the country since last year.
“I am pleased that BRED Bank has ticked all the boxes and met our entire licensing requirement,” Hou said.
“He added BRED has worked tirelessly to set up its operations in Honiara.
“I do hope that this is just the beginning and that in the near future, we should see BRED Bank expanding to the provinces,” the prime minister added.
“Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Owen Thompson said they are happy to set up a bank here for Solomon Islanders.
“We should take heart as the reason BRED Bank has set up in Solomon Islands is that they see opportunities in the country for future growth and certainly the need for a quality international bank,” Thompson said.
“The bank now has nine ATMs installed in Honiara.”
