31 March 2019

Solomon Islands has a new and fully equipped ambulance in service.

With the help of generous supporters the Solomon Islands St John has a new ambulance (unit 4) in operation and it is fully equipped.

The ambulance is ICU capable and fully equipped.

St John is currently trying to acquire more funds for another ambulance this August for a vehicle of the same type and model.  The ambulance is said to have already been acquired but is needing enough funds to have it shipped to the Solomons.

St John has acknowledged Swire Shipping, the BOC, Rotary Club of Honiara, Solrice, Solomon Airlines, and Telekom for their financial support in making it possible to have acquired the new ambulance.

For information, the ambulance EMERGENCY number 111 is now fully operational and two new crews available...

Despatch operations can be contacted on 7398566 or 7136000
