“Some 41 percent of tourists that visit Honiara come to see culture and art in the country.
This was revealed by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture in a two-day workshop organized for local artists this week, at the Honiara Art Gallery exhibition house.
The workshop was part of the Solomon Islands Artists Association’s (SIAA) 24th anniversary celebrations.
The Chairman of the artist week program, Robert Au Nama said the workshop would give artists a picture of areas that they need to be aware of and to establish links with organizations.
