Global summit calls for more climate change financing
Quoting Radio New Zealand – 24 November 2018
“The leaders of nearly 50 governments are calling for more international climate change financing for vulnerable countries.
“The declaration by leaders of the Climate Vulnerable Forum came out of the Virtual Climate Summit hosted by the Marshall Islands on Thursday.
“Forty-eight member states said there needed to be a more ambitious global response to climate change.
“They said urgent action was needed to expand flows of public and private climate finance to countries in need.
“In a separate statement, the countries said climate-related expenditure needed to be made more accountable for donors and recipients.”
