I am concerned about the number of sick children at the National Referral Hospital (NRH) in Honiara reliably reported to be suffering from a variety of heart disease conditions that cannot be treated at the NRH and need medical evacuation to Fiji where they could be seen by cardiac specialists and trained heart surgeons.
I requested Dr Ludawane of the NRH to let me have an estimate of the costs in getting those sick children needing urgent treatment to fly out to Fiji and this morning he gave me the information I was needing. Please see the details below;

I am determined to see donor funds can be obtained as soon as possible to assist the NRH in getting the sick children medically evacuated to Fiji and have already been promised financial help, but being cautious at this point because so many times I have been subjected to scam attempts and several times fallen victim in paying out money from my age pension believing in the promised donor help only to find I lost money in trying to assist the needy.
