Bank account opened in Honiara for the safe deposit of funds to help sick children get help with medical treatment and possibly surgery

14 July 2023

In the past few days, I wrote saying how Dr Ludawane of the National Referral Hospital (NRH) had appealed for funds to transfer 6 children from the NRH to a specialist hospital in Fiji where they could expect to get life saving heart surgery and care from a team of heart surgeons and cardiac specialist due to visit the Fiji hospital in early July.

I wrote my own appeal in support of Dr Ludawane's own appeal.

The cost for air travel for the children and a guardian each was quoted as being high.

I have had a response from one kind hearted donor in the Uk and another donor has offered to help.

Today, I was given news of a local (SI) bank account where donations can be sent to assist children with special health needs, especially those mentioned by Dr Ludwane but also where donor funding might be deposited safely and be used to assist young people needing an offshore medical transfer suffering from rheumatic heart disease.

Please will you all help with generous donations to get the medical attention, including surgery, many of our young children and teenagers require,

The bank details to donate funds is -

Account Name: Children's Ward Patients Fund

Account Number: 1439903601

Bank: Bank of South Pacific - Solomon Islands

Swift Code: BOSPSBSBXXX

Address: Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Thank you all, including the Bank of the South Pacific in Honiara.

Yours sincerely
