Family Support Centre proposed for Buala

“ISABEL’S provincial capital, Buala will soon have a Family Support Centre (FSC) established there very soon.
“This was revealed by a Police officer of the Buala Police station, Florence Teiraru, during a conference that is currently underway in Honiara.
“The building is to facilitate all issues relating to family like Domestic Violence, says Ms Teiraru.
“Isabel province will soon to have a FSC Building at Buala to support family of Isabel with issues relating to family,” she said.
“Her presentation at the conference has revealed that most victims of Domestic Violence in Isabel were brought to her home for counseling and protection.
“Most of all the issues reported were related to domestic violence and sexual assault.
“The police officer said that those victims need proper office building to deal with them because domestic violence happens within a span of weeks.
“I helped the victims because it’s my job as a Police Officer and I have to feed them at my home which the province perhaps must have proper center to keep the victim,” she said.
“The case of Domestic Violence and sexual assault on the rise therefore, FSC Center must be built in Isabel, Buala.”
