“We were all taught to give and to share everything that we have. (Adam Bartlett, Managing Director of Bulkshop, Honiara.)

News has only just reached me that a local business house, Bulkshop donated $22,000 to the Christian Care Centre just before Christmas.

The money was said to have been collected from donation boxes in its branches in Honiara.

The Christian Care Centre and the staff have sincerely thanked Bulkshop and every individual for their gratitude in giving to the donation boxes provided at the Bulkshops.

The Manager Director of Bulkshop, Adam Bartlett said “The power of giving is alive and part of all province cultures. In fact we are a giving and kind people & the amount raised is a testament to the kind heart in every Solomon Islander.”

He added that growing up; “we were all thought to give and to share everything that we have

Footnote.

The Christian Chare Centre is an Anglican Church run organisation that accommodates and takes care of people who suffer mostly from domestic violence. It is located in the Tenaru area.

Comment.

The Christian Care Centre does outstanding work in caring for those women and girls that have experienced and suffered from domestic violence at home.

The charity is largely dependent on donations in cash or in kind to carry on its work.

The Sisters of the charity are compassionate and caring in their devotion to assisting the less fortunate and deserve our support.

I thank Mr. Bartlett of Bulkshop and his customers for the donation of the $22,000 and his personal commitment to giving further charity aid to the Christian Care Centre.

Yours sincerely
