Letter to the Editor, Solomon Star Newspaper Last week I felt the need for a change of air and took a two hour bus trip to the seaside beach resort of Pattaya, 147 km southeast of Bangkok. I hadn’t been there for ten years and what I saw along the route was a complete eye opener and prompted my thoughts about the Solomon Islands vision of creating free economic zones to boost the national economy and create job opportunities.
