“It's estimated that about 20,000 people have been affected by flooding and landslides on Guadalcanal.
“The Solomon Islands' National Disaster Management Office says eight people died in a landslide at Lambi in west Guadalcanal, during several days of heavy rain last week.
“Five bodies were recovered but the search has been called off for the other three.”
