A concerned citizen from Honiara, Joseph Kuku, wrote to your newspaper today, Monday, 10 October, expressing what he claimed as local residents were calling on the responsible authorities to improve the condition of ‘failed’ vehicles in Honiara.
Mr Kuku cited what he remembered of traffic enforcement in the late colonial days, recalling then if only a brake light or so was not functioning on a vehicle, the police would immediately arrest the vehicle owner and lead them to the police station.
