Free dental treatment given by volunteer dentists in remote Fijian communities

17 November 2022

I recently wrote and posted a story about the successful deployment of the medical mission to FIJI by the New Zealand based ship YWAM KOHA.

I can report today that the mission is winding up the first deployment for the YWAM KOHA, but not slowing down.

Yesterday the New Zealand-focused dental team (Trinity Koha Dental Clinic) set up in Te Kaha (Eastern BOP). This launches a two and a half week dental outreach on the East Coast.

From the beginning, the mission had a desire to take their services the coastal communities

This will be the final TKDC clinic of the year. In 2022, and it has been possible to serve hundreds of people.

The impact of this service continues to astound many in Fiji.

Statistics don't do it justice. Stories of the clinics are indicating the clinics being a catalyst for change in communities.

Simply giving people the ability to smile, without embarrassment, empowers them to better relate to each other, which strengthens relationships in communities...
