Disaster hits South Choiseul communities
Quoting the Island Sun newspaper – 19 September 2019
“Flooding in South Choiseul has devastated many families and food gardens with low-lying villages being most critically affected, it is reported.
“This follows two weeks of torrential rains and strong winds which have hit Choiseul and nearby Western province hard.
“About seven rivers from Kakake, Sasamuga, Vanga, Padi, Sepa, Gome and Banganoe in South Choiseul destroyed villages and food gardens within wards 4 and 5 areas.”
