Solomon Islands: A leading commercial business insurer going the extra mile to help renovation projects at the NRH, local clinics and assisting the disadvantaged.
The QBE Insurance Group in the Solomon Islands takes its social responsibility seriously and for many years has gone the extra mile to assist those less fortunate in society and aid with renovation work at the NRH and many clinics and centres.
I extend my thanks to all at QBE Insurance Group for the generous support given to good causes in the Solomon Islands since 2011.
Some details of recent activities of QBE were reported in the Solomon Star newspapers today, Thursday, and I quote a few extracts from the relevant article:
“QBE Insurance Group in Solomon Islands has supported the Pikinini clinic at Mataniko in China Town through a major renovation work.
“To formally celebrate the successful completion of the project a formal handing over ceremony was held on Friday at the clinic.
“Speaking during the ceremony was the QBE Country Manager for Solomon Islands Mypana Isaac said his team has helped to renovate the pharmacy and done partition work inside the clinic to ensure most of the department can do their work privately.
“He explained QBE Insurance Group Solomon Islands team has been engaged in number of renovation project since 2011 and they have done more renovation projects in the country each year.
“We have done some renovation work at National Referral Hospital, Red Cross, Care Centre, Save the Children, Disability centre and Pikinini Clinic,” he said.
“This year QBE Insurance Group has seen that the Pikinini clinic has met the criteria for them to assist and so their team has intervened to support the clinic because it has been serving most kids in Honiara, Mr Isaac said.
