As I write, the NZ YWAM KOHA is fully crewed and at anchor in the Bay of Islands waiting for rough weather to pass. The current plan is to depart the Bay of Islands on Wednesday, 27 July, around noon, heading for Suva. At best, the ship will arrive in Fiji on Monday morning.

The planned journey of the medical voyage has been possible by sponsorship, donations and by volunteer medical doctors, dentist and crew from New Zealand.

Comment.

I offer my sincere thanks for the partnership that has culminated in the planned medical voyage to aid the people of the Fijian islands, especially those in remote parts.

I wish the Solomon Islands could benefit from a visiting medical ship in the same way.

Yours sincerely
