"Our hearts go out."

�Speaking at a Christmas Carols event in Honiara last night, the Solomon Islands Prime Minister, the Hon. Manasseh Sogavare, made special mention of the people in Makira/Ulawa Province and the southern region of Malaita who have been badly affected by the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in the early hours of Friday 9 December 2016.

The PM said, �Our hearts go out to the people of Makira who were affected by the earthquake and tsunami.
�
He added that assessments were still being done of the situation.
�
The Prime Minister bade the audience a Merry Christmas celebration and urged them to remember the less fortunate and those experiencing any kind of problem and therefore could not celebrate Christmas like everybody else.
