Many communities in the rural areas of the Solomon Islands are still without electricity and are dependent on kerosene lamps for lighting and fires for cooking.
Access to just a small amount of electricity could lead to life saving improvements for the rural people in health, education, communications access, agricultural production and to clean water supplies.
