Honiara Red Cross Special Development Centre given $3,600 to purchase equipment needs.
The local members of the Hash House Harriers, the largest international walking and running organisation in the world recently raised $3,600 to support the Red Cross Special Development Centre in Honiara.
The generous donation will be used to purchase equipment for the school’s life skills programme which helps students with cooking, gardening, sewing, crochet, traditional art and making lava lavas.
To raise the funds more than 80 people dressed in costume for a fun filled event which was held at the Honiara Golf Club.
I extend my thanks to Hash House Harriers and to the Honiara Golf Club for the fund raiser which was in a good cause.
