Charity Support for the Solomon Islands (News Update) Shipment of hospital beds and wheel chairs still awaited
The management of ‘Take My Hands’ (my partner charity in New Zealand) has advised that 50 hospital beds intended for the National Referral Hospital (NRH) is awaiting the release of the beds from the donor hospital in New Zealand.
Ms Janette Searle, TMH’s Managing Trustee, has explained to me that the donor hospital is replacing the 50 beds it is proposing to release to the NRH but the new hospital beds that were ordered have still not been delivered.
Ms Searle said as soon as TMH’s take delivery of the promised hospital beds they will be loaded into a 40 foot container, together with some 30 wheel chairs, and the container shipped to Honiara.
Yours sincerely
