TAIWAN GIVES 360 SOLAR LAMPS TO THE SOLOMONS

Taiwan helps in national disaster response

Quoting the Island Sun newspaper – 18 January 2019

“TAIWAN’S Embassy in Solomon Islands handed over 360 solar lamps to the Solomon Islands Red Cross (SIRC) yesterday.

“The donations are meant for communities affected by the recent bad weather, and it will be distributed to identified communities and families soon.

“Taiwan Embassy’s Second Secretariat Mr David Li said, “A total of 360 solar lamps are donated today (yesterday) to the affected families and communities of rural Solomon Islands.

“With the diligent staff and through knowledge on the ground, we believe the SIRC society would be able to identify and facilitate the effective distribution of our humanitarian relief.”

“As a faithful part to Government and people of Solomon Islands, Mr Li said Taiwan will always try their best to answer to urgent humanitarian needs of Solomon Islands.”
