Cyclone Oma caused major damage at the Visale RTC
Quoting the Solomon Star newspaper – 20 February 2019
“THE recent cyclone Oma destroyed the Visale Rural Training Centre in North West Guadalcanal.
“North West Guadalcanal Solomon Star Stringer John Toki reported the cyclone had blown several iron roofing sheets off the school office that provided shelter for all the school materials.
“The school helps to train up to 60 girls who have not gone through higher education or formal education”
