The DCC Government led by the Prime Minister, Manasseh Sogavare, has been keen to increase sports facilities in the Solomon Islands since coming into office in 2014 and, today, as a token of appreciation the Solomon Islands Basketball Federation presented the Prime Minister with a set of national basketball uniforms as their show of appreciation to the government in enabling the Federation to send the local men and women’s basketball teams to the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
